Wow...Been a long time eh???

This is the first time I've been on my blog for a few months..not to mention it's been since JULY since I've had a new post...haha. Just haven't had the time nor the motivation to type. A brief recap of my last few months of pregnancy and then on to my beautiful, happy and healthy baby girl.

Pregnancy was really not that bad for me. I worked until I was about 7 1/2 months and then got put on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy which was for about 2 1/2 more weeks. Due to blood pressure issues I've had for a few years now...it def was causing an issue for me and Reese when I was pregnant. The doctors would increase my meds almost every time I went to an appt. I started at 200mg ONCE a day to 500mg THREE times a day. Meds did nothing..and my doctor wasn't the brightest I guess because he didn't ever change to a different medication to see if something else would work. He was a great doc, I just am surprised he didn't try anything else...Anyways in Mid-August we decided to move to SG 2 weeks later. The week we were moving I was at 32 weeks and from there on out was scheduled to have stress tests twice a week. Had my first one that tuesday...they put me on bedrest.. Didn't realize the day I left work on tuesday for my appt I wouldn't even be back before we moved.

Anyways, during that week Ege went to SG to get registered for school and to start his new job. So I'm up in Lehi, on bedrest...being bored..and trying to pack as much as the doctor would allow. I go in for another stress test on friday...blood pressure is too high, and the nurse won't let me leave the hospital and had to stay overnight. Mind you...EJ is still out of town...on his way back up to Lehi with my parents so we can move the next day. So I'm all alone, pregnant..and an emotional wreck. I really thought they were going to deliver Reese that night. BP levels were the highest I'd ever had 192/120s=not good. So it's the next day and the only way the doctor will let me leave for sg was to promise that once we got into town that I would go to the hospital for a stress test. So I left the hopsital in American Fork, ate lunch, and headed to sg, once in sg not even 45 min..went to hospital..spent another night in the hospital. Did I mention that my parents and EJ packed the rest of our stuff..so I NO clue where anything was...but very grateful for all of the help we rec'd. Okay, long story short...a week after this I spent 2 more nights in the hospital and finally at my OB appt and 34 1/2, my doc down here said we can't wait any long and have to deliver the baby. She wasn't growing due to my blood pressure..she was slowing down more and more at each appt. He was nervous if we waited any longer she would be still born.
Needless to say on 9/9/09...Reese Marie Saunders was born at 6:46pm weighing in at 3lbs 11oz and 16 inches long. She was so tiny but so perfect. Nothing wrong. No meds needed or oxygen, just 2 1/2 weeks in the NICU to make sure she was growing continually. We brought her home weighing in at 4lbs flat. My pregnancy wasn't miserable, but having to leave your baby every night at the hospital was heart breaking. Reese now weighs about 14 lbs and prob 24 inches long. She is the happiest baby. She's starting to roll over, loves to smile and flirt..but still a little shy. She makes everyone around her so happy. Here are some pictures from the last 5 months. Such a blessing she is!

I know these pics are older...working on uploading a lot of new pics...haven't had much time now that I'm working full-time..:( Sure miss Reese during the day. I'll try updating more often. :)

27 Weeks

All right all right..so I finally got more pictures taken. I actually had Ege take some last week..but I hated the pictures..haha. As you women know that have been pregnant before...you don't feel to cute in any picture..so feel special that you get to see these!

What changed since my last update:

-My left foot isn't swollen too bad anymore. THANK GOODNESS. I sleep on a magnetic mattress..that really helps with the circulation and it helps me sleep better too.
-Baby is def moving a lot more. Sometimes it just feels like I'm hungry when she's moving and other times it feels like she is doing flips in my belly.
-Ege felt her move for the first time this week.
-Still don't have any weird cravings or really much cravings at all besides chocolate...as usual! haha
-I can't wait to see what my baby girl looks like, I find myself daydreaming about it a lot.
-I eat atleast 2 bowls of cereal every day. One for breakfast..and then for sure one before I go to bed. Lately when I get home I will eat a bowl of cereal for a snack.
-I'm working out more...and that's giving me a lot more energy during the day.
-Went swimming for the first time since I got pregnant, the weirdest thing is the feeling that you're not pregnant. That's how I felt..kind of trippy.
-I had blood pressure long before I was pregnant..and it's been quite the battle to get it under control during this pregnancy. For now it's an "alright" reading taking meds 3 times a day to help control it. One thing that's a plus is that I have ultrasounds once a month from hear on out. It's always comforting when we go and she is growing on schedule and everything looks good.
-I'm experiencing a little bit of heartburn that I've never experienced before I got pregnant. It sucks!
-Slowly have been getting things for the baby. Just ordered the stroller and swing for the babe today.
-I have the most random dreams with random people in it...people I grew up with...went to High School with..etc.
-I have random songs pop in my head. The other morning I had "Up on the Housetop"..I think that's the name of it...you know..a CHRISTMAS song..haha random.
-I know that pregnancy does things to your taste buds..and it's been frustrating because something will sound good to make for dinner..I make it..and then I'm disappointed because it doesn't have as much flavor as it usually does. wahhhh...haha
-All in all, this pregnancy isn't bad at all and feel very blessed that I'm feeling good.

That's all I can think of for now...I'll add more if I can think of anything.

21 Weeks

Here I am at 21 weeks, growing by the day in more areas than just my belly..:( haha..Sacrifice right?  Here is how things are going:

1. Every once in a while I'll get sick to my stomach. It only lasts maybe ten minutes, so that's good.
2. I eat a bowl of cereal every night before I go to bed.
3. I've had a little bit of swelling. Meaning in my left freaking foot. I know, it's weird. The top of my swollen foot it feels like there is a huge bruise all the way up to my mid shin. I went to the doctor this last week, he thought was weird and said to just watch it to see if it gets better...so if anyone has had this...let me know!
4. I don't crave much right now that I HAVE to have. It seems like I was more like that in the first trimester. I'm not as picky with eating as I was in the first trimester either.
5. I'm starting to feel her move. I don't feel it too consistently yet, but I know it will happen soon.
6. I get irritated very easily, and people will know it when I'm pissed. No hiding it for me! haha..

I haven't done really anything yet to get ready for the baby. I've looked at cribs and such online just to check them out, but want to ask all you mom's out there what you baby products you have liked. What you haven't liked. What you use a lot and what is a waste of money to buy. Also, wondering if you all read books with your first pregnancy? If so, what books did you find helpfu? Please help this first time momma out!

Weekend in Wyoming

This last weekend we went to Rock Springs, Wyoming for my cousins High School graduation. Rock Springs is where I was born, but we moved when I was 2, so I don't remember anything about this place. It was fun to be with family. There was quite the bunch of Wilkinson clan. I don't see them very often so it was fun to hang out for the weekend.  Wish the weekend lasted longer than it did!

Here is "Pa" (my dad) and Xander jumpin' on the tramp.
Xander is a miniature Kevin (my dad). Such a cute personality this boy has!

Colt and EJ being goofy.

This is Sophie-licious...haha...I just love this baby! My first neice on my families side!

This is my favorite picture!!
This is where we lived in Rock Springs. Don't remember a thing.

Ege helping Sophie get wrinkles. Love it!

Uncle Todd on electric guitar, Cody my cousin on drums. They are both amazing at this!
My cute cousin Kelsey!
Jacob and Ty being goofs...waiting for everyone to go over to my Uncle Mike's for breakfast.

We had a great time over the weekend. It felt good to get away! Oh, in other news...haha...We are having a GIRL if ya'll haven't heard yet. :) Sorry I'm a slacker on posting...

16 Weeks

So here is my "16 weeks" photo. I know I'm at 18 weeks now, but I took this a few weeks ago and never got around to posting the pic then...yes I'm lazy. I'll put up another picture at 20 weeks. We find out what we are having this tuesday!!! Any guesses on a boy or girl??

For all you smart a#@es..no that is not deodorant...lets just say this shirt is a little stretched in that region! haha.. It's about time. :) I feel bigger than I look in this picture. I guess the view is different for me than others...since I'm looking down and see my belly stickin' out.

Things that are happening so far in the pregnancy:

1. I had "morning sickness" up to 3 months...seriously right when 3 months hit...the nausea was gone!! Freak ya.
2. I get hot flashes...my hands seem to get the hottest on my body. Weird.
3. I have random dreams every night. Sometimes more than one a night. If I see someone, think about someone, look at a picture of someone..I have random dreams about that person that night.
4. I seem to have random songs in my head ALL THE TIME. Some I haven't listened to in so long. I especially go to bed with a song in my head..and wake up with a different song in my head.
5. I haven't had any weird cravings so far. The first three months, I was more prone to feel sick at the thought of certain foods. Right now I feel somewhat more back to normal and I'm not as picky with what to eat.
6. If I'm on my feet for too long...my feet start to ache so bad...as well as my back..yeah I know that's gonna just get worse...needless to say..I'm very excited for the pool to open!

And that's all I can think of for now. Peace.

Happy Mother's Day Mom

Happy Mother's day to a beautiful, amazing and most caring person I know. Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for my mother.  She is always willing to help, doing everything possible she can to serve others. She is truly my best friend. I can tell her everything, even if it is embarrassing or shameful on my part. She doesn't judge, just loves her kids for who they are will do anything for them.

Mom, thank you for all you do. Whether it's calling and check up on me everyday to see how I'm doing to buying me a diet coke when you're visiting and I've had a hard day. :) Thank you for being an amazing mother not only to me but to EJ who hasn't had a mother in his life for 14 years. I can't imagine how it would feel to not have a Mother in my life, especially one like you. What an amazing blessing you are in my life. I love you Mom.

Isn't my mom Gorgeous?!!!

Big Gulps Huh?

Welp...I'm pregnant! Yep, I peed on one of those sticks a few months ago and yes indeed we have a baby on the way! We are so dang excited!

Was it planned you ask? Yes, yes it was. We had been feeling the spirit strongly before we got pregnant, knowing that it was time for us to start a family. Heavenly Father works in mysterious ways, and since we got pregnant, things have been falling into place. How very blessed we are. Our precious baby will be joining us in mid October!
